Amalfi Coast & Aeolian Islands

The Aeolian Islands and the Amalfi Coast offer some of the world’s greatest coastlines for your yacht charter in Italy. The coastal trip from Sorrento to Salerno alone will leave you draw dropped, and film exposed.

Luxury Yacht Charter Amalfi Coast For 10 - 14 days of charter, we suggest a start from the Aeolian Islands – Smouldering volcanoes, bubbling mud baths and steaming fumaroles make these tiny islands north of Sicily a truly hot & exclusive destination…moreover, the crossing into international waters over to the Amalfi coast will save over 15% of Italian Tax on your charter!

Day 1 Fly into Palermo airport. Set sail immediately for the island of Filicudi. Anchor overnight. What is most remarkable about this place – apart from its beauty – is the emptiness… Anchored in tranquillity all you might spot ashore is the odd goat, a few houses dotted among the blooming broom and prickly pear trees, and the barest signs of human life in the island’s two miniscule ports. Despite being a mere hop from the party isle of Panarea, most of Filicudi is completely wild.

Day 2 Short hop over to islands of Salina (or sail a bit further over to the party island of Panarea - quietly becoming the epicenter of the chicest summer scene in the Mediterranean). But if you prefer more tranquility for your yacht charter in Italy, then Salina is the green and fertile gem of the Aeolian islands which remains more “off the beaten track”.

Day 3 Short sail to Lipari. Anchor overnight. Lipari is the centre of the Aeolian islands, and has the largest concentration of tourist facilities, including bars, restaurants, shops. Chance to indulge ashore…

Day 4 Over to mainland Sicily, and in port of Messina overnight. Messina was founded by the Greeks and is known as the door to Sicily, situated close to the peninsular acting as a busy thoroughfare to the mainland. Primarily a port town, Messina is filled with atmosphere and an incredible ancient history.

Day 5 Head north on your yacht charter of the Amalfi coast, to Stromboli. Anchor overnight to watch the fireworks of the active volcano! The island is unique because of the Stromboli Volcano: This continuously active volcano is one of the few in the world where a visitor can see an eruption “up close and personal” most of the time. Due to the absence of a touristic harbor and large hotels the island has kept its original atmosphere: life in this spot of the world is simple and relaxing.

Day 6 Depending on your yacht choice, take an overnight crossing, or spend the day on the open ocean - heading to...island of Ponza! One of the largest islands of the Amalfi coast, with blue waters and a striking hilly landscape, Ponza is loved by regular visitors who attempt to keep its charms a secret.

Day 7 Spend the day chilling or exploring in Ponza. Time to relax after a day at sea!

Day 8 Gentle trip over to the island of Ischia. Considered to be even more beautiful than Capri, there are several towns along the coast, with plenty of excellent restaurants.

Day 9 Short hop to Capri. In port overnight. Well known as the center for luxury yachting and hand out of the rich and famous. Amazing views from the summit.

Day 10 To Amalfi and anchor overnight. A beautiful town, built into the mountainous coastline, full of charm and atmosphere. This is the ideal relaxing spot to spend an evening on the mainland.
