Safira is powered by Schottel Rudder Propeller Azipod drives that are 20 percent more efficient than conventional shafts. Her 660-bhp Caterpillar C32 Accert engines can run on 15 percent biodiesel fuel, and energy-efficient electrical specs allow for smaller generators that also reduce fuel burn. Safira has a range of 8,000 miles when cruising at 8.5 knots. Even the 25-foot Hunt Harrier tender is fuel efficient, burning just 9 gph at 30 knots.

Continuing the eco-friendly theme, Safira’s decks, which look like teak, are built with Esthec, a composite Dutch product that also provides sound insulation for lower decks. Safira also has a GPS-enabled Quantum Zero dynamic positioning system that lets her stay in place without dropping anchor on sensitive coral or other fragile eco-systems.

Safira accommodates 10 guests in five cabins, including a full-beam master suite deliberately below decks and amidships, the position of least movement aboard - for absolute comfort whilst cruising night passages.
